Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has been declared fit to start in Nigeria’s quarter-final clash against Angola following his injury in the knockout clash against Cameroon.
The news of his fitness sparked joyful reactions amongst Nigerians who took to their various social media handles to express their joy – thus making the name ‘Stanley Nwabali’ a trending topic on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The news on the Chippers United goalie was shared in a Twitter by Soar Super Eagles (@SSE_NGA)
which reads: “UPDATE Stanley Nwabali will be available for Friday’s quarterfinal clash against Angola, as it stands.”
Nigeria will play the Black Antelopes of Angola on Friday, Feb 2 by 6pm WAT.
