According to recent reports, Kylian Mbappe has reportedly informed PSG of his intention to leave the club in the summer, clearing the path for Real Madrid to advance in completing his signing.
It has been confirmed that the 25-year-old superstar conveyed his decision to PSG to join Laliga Bigboys Real Madrid over Liverpool and Arsenal and Manchester United who thought they stood a chance to lure him to the Premier League.
In the latest development, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is directly engaged in negotiations with Mbappe and his representatives regarding his transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Romano asserts that the relationship between Mbappe and PSG has irreversibly soured, with Real Madrid now actively pursuing the signing of the French superstar.
However, Romano specifies that Mbappe has yet to reach an agreement with Real Madrid or any other club, and he may need to accept a reduced salary compared to his earnings at PSG to facilitate the transfer.
With the wheels in motion, it appears increasingly likely that Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid is imminent.
The pursuit of Mbappe by Real Madrid has been ongoing for several years, with the club harboring long-standing admiration for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
Mbappe came close to joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2022, only to reverse course at the eleventh hour and extend his contract with PSG.
This time, however, Real Madrid is reportedly highly confident in securing the signing of the superstar, with discussions even taking place among players in the dressing room.
