Liverpool and England standout Trent Alexander-Arnold has endured a year of sexual harassment from a relentless stalker.
Liverpool has enjoyed a remarkable season across all four competitions they’re engaged in, with Alexander-Arnold playing a pivotal role. In 21 Premier League appearances this season, he has netted twice and provided four assists. His crucial goal at the Etihad Stadium on November 25, 2023, ensured a vital point for Liverpool, bolstering the team’s belief in their ability to succeed.
The shocking news has emerged just one day before Liverpool’s highly anticipated clash against Chelsea at Wembley for the Carabao Cup final. Management at Anfield has been made aware of the situation and is offering “full support” to the affected player during this challenging time.
Alexander-Arnold ordeal
The player has been forced to enlist the services of a bodyguard and private investigator. Additionally, he has taken measures such as changing his mobile number, installing CCTV and alarms, and having his mail screened, all in response to receiving obscene letters and materials. The woman in question has appeared at his residence, Liverpool’s training facility, and even Trent’s preferred dining spots.
Consequently, the 26-year-old injured defender has been cautioned against sharing any of his whereabouts on social media platforms. Furthermore, his family members have been subjected to a barrage of disturbing messages.
According to thesun, A source said: “This has been more than a year of hell for Trent.
“This woman has terrorised him and his family, bombarding him with explicit messages, getting hold of his number and calling him endlessly and sending unhinged letters and obscene materials to his Cheshire home.
“It’s been a really worrying time, and Trent has done his utmost not to let it affect his performances on the pitch.”
It remains unclear whether the police have been notified of the situation. It’s worth noting that just four months ago, Trent narrowly escaped death in a car accident near Knutsford.
