Mark Lawrenson, a revered figure in Liverpool’s history, suggests that Jarrod Bowen, a standout talent for both England and West Ham, could potentially step into Mohamed Salah’s shoes during the upcoming summer transfer window

Although Lawrenson recognizes the challenge of finding a direct replacement for Liverpool’s most important player, he believes Bowen could be a viable option for Liverpool, especially as the club may focus their transfer budget on strengthening the defense.

Lawrenson praises Bowen’s versatility, goal-scoring ability, and diligent work ethic, qualities that have earned him seven appearances for the England national team. Bowen’s impressive form for West Ham this season, with 14 goals and three assists in 28 Premier League games, further bolsters his credentials.

Will Salah remain at Liverpool?

With ongoing speculation linking Salah to the Saudi Pro League, former Premier League striker Mido suggests that the Egyptian has already made arrangements for a transfer.

If this transpires, Liverpool will need to fill the void left by their star man, reports from TheMetro Lawrenson suggests that Bowen could be the one to make the move to Anfield. “Jarrod Bowen to Liverpool is very much a possibility,” Lawrenson remarked to Paddy Power.

Sports Buddy also revealed that Liverpool could sacrifice one of their attackers in other to keep Mohammed Salah at the club.

“He’s capable of playing in any of the three positions across the front line, scoring goals, and putting in the hard yards,” Lawrenson commented. “But let’s be clear, you won’t find another Mo Salah. One of Bowen’s strengths is his defensive work rate; although it wasn’t exceptional when he arrived, he’s shown significant improvement.

While anyone could potentially join Liverpool, I believe Salah will leave without a doubt. However, considering Liverpool’s financial situation, their primary focus might be on securing another centre-back. So, it’s not solely about finding a Salah replacement.”
