Kudus’ Stool Celebration Denied by Unsuspecting Ball Boy!
West Ham attacker Mohammed Kudus had his latest celebration plans hilariously derailed by a young ball boy during the team’s 4-3 defeat to Newcastle.
Lively Performance, Unlucky Celebration
Kudus was a bright spot for the Hammers throughout the match. He put his side ahead 2-1 just before halftime with a well-placed shot that left Martin Dubravka with no chance.
Following the goal, The West Ham Attacker made a run towards the sideline, seemingly with his now-signature celebration in mind.
Stool Jacked!
During West Ham’s Europa League win against Freiburg, Mohammed K. had celebrated by sitting on a pitch side stool. However, the Newcastle ball boy had no intention of giving up his seat for this repeat performance.

Left without his prop, Kudus was forced to jump onto the advertising hoardings with his teammates, while the bewildered ball boy looked on.
This wasn’t The West Ham Attacker’ first time resorting to alternative celebrations after his initial plan was disrupted. He had previously joked about Manchester United players copying his “hoarding” celebration.
“Sitting Down, Resting…” – Kudus on his Celebration
According to talkSPORT, In a pre-match interview, The West Ham attacker explained the inspiration behind his celebrations:
“I wanted to do something different,” he said. “Sliding on the ground is pretty normal, so I wanted to add some meaning to my goals. It’s about sitting down and resting after scoring, but there’s no deeper meaning than that.”
While acknowledging that others might have done similar celebrations before, Kudus remains lighthearted about it all.
“Even when I first did it, people said others had done it before,” he said. “But hey, they’re allowed to do it – although they’ll have to start paying taxes soon!”
For The West Ham attacker, it’s all about entertaining the fans: “Football is about the points and the emotions, but it’s also entertainment. I’m just having fun out there.”
While The West Ham attacker wasn’t able to recreate his iconic stool celebration this time, he certainly provided some entertainment with his attempt!
