Keane Unleashes Fury on Haaland After City Flop vs Arsenal: “League Two Level?”
Manchester City’s goal machine Erling Haaland became the target of Roy Keane’s scathing criticism following the team’s disappointing 0-0 draw against Arsenal.
Haaland Silenced by Arsenal Defense
Erling Haaland, known for his lethal striking prowess, was completely neutralized by Arsenal’s central defensive pairing of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba, with Saliba even receiving the Man of the Match award.

The Norwegian barely touched the ball in the first half and exhibited a surprising lack of decisiveness when presented with a chance in the second half, missing a left-footed opportunity as David Raya closed him down. Despite the lackluster performance, Erling Haaland remains the Premier League’s top scorer with 18 goals.
Keane Rips Into Erling Haaland’s Overall Play
According to TheMirror, Former Manchester United midfielder Keane wasn’t shy about voicing his disappointment with City’s star striker on Sky Sports.
“His overall play is simply not good enough,” Keane blasted. “And I’m not just talking about today; his passing, heading – everything outside of scoring goals is lacking.”

Keane continued, emphasizing the need for improvement: “Yes, he’s a world-class finisher, but his overall play for a player of his caliber is simply unacceptable. This isn’t just a one-time thing. He needs significant improvement, and frankly, he looks like a League Two player out there right now. His overall game absolutely must improve, and hopefully it will over the next few years. He’s a fantastic goalscorer, but he needs to prove himself as a complete player.”
City’s Attacking Stars Misfire
Haaland wasn’t the only offensive player to struggle against Arsenal. Kevin De Bruyne failed to create many scoring opportunities, while Phil Foden had a virtually invisible performance, ultimately being substituted along with another player for Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku in the 61st minute.
Recently from Sports Buddy, Jamie Carragher threw a subtle dig at Erling Haaland calling Virgil Van Dijk a superior player to the Norwegian.

Manchester City managed 12 shots on goal, with only one hitting the target, posing no real threat to Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya. Keane didn’t limit his criticism to Haaland, adding: “City are usually up for these challenges, but that wasn’t the case today. When facing teams that sit back and defend, that’s when you need your star players to shine. And that simply didn’t happen.”
