Arsenal are at the risk of losing midfielder Declan Rice and forward Kai Havertz ahead of Bayern Munich clash.
According to reports from Football London, both players find themselves on the brink of suspension as they head into the Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night, as they are just one booking away from facing a suspension.
Declan Rice and Kai Havertz: One card away from suspention
Should either of these two players receive a yellow card at the Emirates, they will be ineligible to participate in the second leg at the Allianz Arena.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta will be crossing his fingers that such a scenario doesn’t arise, as Declan Rice and Havertz have played pivotal roles in their successful season so far.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich also faces a similar dilemma. If either Alphonso Davies or Leon Goretzka were to receive yellow cards, they would also be sidelined for the return leg on April 17.
It’s worth noting that all accumulated yellow cards are wiped clean after the quarter-final stage of the competition, a measure implemented to prevent players from missing the final due to excessive bookings.
Meanwhile, Sports Buddy reported in recent interview that ISIS has issued a threat targeting all four Champions League quarter-final matches scheduled for this week, including Arsenal’s home game against Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium.
