Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta in a press conference, ahead of the Gunners’ game against Aston Villa made a funny wish concerning the twists in the Premier League title race this season.
Mikel Arteta’s funny wish
In the press conference, Arteta was informed about the frequent changes in the Premier League’s number-one spot throughout the season. The interviewer highlighted that this position has switched hands eighteen times this season.

“I didn’t know that, no,” he said, with a smile.
The interviewer then inquired about Arteta’s perspective on being part of such a captivating title race. They asked him about the excitement of being involved in a race as intriguing as this one.
In jest, Arteta responded, “Hopefully it stays like this for the remaining six weeks, and eighteen is a beautiful number, i like eight a lot. It was my number, so let’s keep it eighteen”
Arsenal currently sit top of the table with 71 points, level with Liverpool. They hold the advantage with a superior goal difference. Manchester City trails closely in third place, just one point behind.
