When questioned about the incident after the game, Klopp confirmed a post-match discussion with Salah and downplayed its significance. “No, but we spoke already in the dressing room and for me it’s done for me.
Pundits Express Disapproval
Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch criticized the incident, suggesting Salah’s anger over being benched fueled the argument. “It didn’t look good. It doesn’t look good for the club,” Crouch said on TNT Sports. “He will be fuming to be on the bench.”
Ally McCoist echoed these concerns. “It’s not good at all, especially when you see Salah coming back to have another bite and one of his teammates has to intervene,” McCoist remarked. “We have all been there, but it does not look good.”
Liverpool’s Title Race Looks Murky
The draw, following a midweek defeat to Everton, leaves Liverpool’s title hopes uncertain. They sit third in the table, two points behind leaders Arsenal. Arsenal have a chance to extend the lead to five points with a win over Tottenham on Sunday. Manchester City are also in the title picture, just a point behind Liverpool with two games in hand.
