Son Heung-Min Leads Tottenham into North London Derby
Tottenham striker Son Heung-Min is set to spearhead his team’s charge into the North London derby, marking one of the most pivotal matches for Arsenal in the last two decades.
Arsenal famously clinched the title at White Hart Lane during the Invincibles season of 2003/04, and while Mikel Arteta’s side recognizes the significance of securing a victory, Sunday’s match alone won’t determine their fate.
Tottenham’s Influence on the Title Race
Tottenham’s upcoming fixtures against Liverpool on May 5 and a rearranged game against Manchester City on May 14 highlight their potential impact on the title race.
Son acknowledges that Tottenham could play a crucial role in deciding the destiny of the title and expresses excitement about facing some of the best teams in Europe. However, Son also acknowledges Tottenham’s status as a young and evolving squad, emphasizing their ongoing development.
In contrast, he acknowledges Arsenal as among the best teams in the world, setting the stage for a highly anticipated clash between the North London rivals.
“Some of them are in their first season in the Premier League. So look, we can test ourselves against one of the biggest teams in Europe and the Premier League. But also in the world.
“It’s very important the way we play. Stick to our play, stick to our game. It’s a very, very good test. It’s against one of the best teams in the world so it’s perfect [for us]. You want to always have good competition and you always want to face the best teams in the world, ” Son said, according to The Mirror.
