According to reports, Edgar Ie compelled his twin brother to play five matches for the Romanian team while impersonating him.
Suspicions arose when he spoke only Portuguese instead of English, despite having previously played in the Netherlands, Spain, and France.

“I wondered if he was still sleeping, and I started making phone calls, talking to friends. The news is true, I can’t believe it. Nobody denied it. I found out that he has a twin brother who also plays soccer.”
Romanian journalist Emanuel Rosu claims that the club requested the player’s driver’s license for identification, but he refused, which has only heightened suspicions.
So far, Dinamo has not made any formal comments regarding the alleged actions of the Guinea-Bissau international.
