Reports have emerged of a car-wrecking crash involving an England player outside his club’s stadium.
Incident at Elland Road: England U-21 star collides with police vehicle
The collision occurred outside Elland Road, the home stadium of Leeds United, just hours before their crucial play-off semi-final against Norwich, as per The Sun.
A Land Rover Defender, reportedly belonging to 21-year-old Leeds United defender and England U21 player Charlie Cresswell, collided with a West Yorkshire Police patrol car. The crash unfolded as players were preparing to report to the ground ahead of the decisive second-leg match.
Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene near the club’s ticket office following the collision at around 10:15 am. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, although a police officer sustained minor injuries in the incident.
