Jurgen Klopp’s dislike for James Maddison
Jurgen Klopp has disclosed that James Maddison is the Premier League player he dislikes the most as he prepares to depart Liverpool.
The German manager, 56, stunned the Reds’ fanbase with his announcement in January that he would be leaving Anfield this summer. Despite this decision, Klopp ensured Liverpool would have some silverware to remember him by, guiding them to Carabao Cup success in February.
The Grudge

Klopp, who achieved legendary status on Merseyside by ending the club’s 30-year title drought and securing the Champions League, revealed his lingering resentment towards Maddison.
Despite securing seven major trophies during his nine-year tenure, Klopp still holds a grudge against the former Leicester ace for a pivotal moment in the 2019 Premier League title race.
“The moment when Vincent Kompany touched the ball there, I am really happy I didn’t get a stroke in that moment as that’s how it must feel,” Klopp said, as per The Sun.

‘“I remember exactly how I was lying on the sofa watching and thinking ‘Maddison block him, close him down.
“Since then I don’t like Maddison. I was angry with Brendan [Rodgers] that day because he should have taken him off, he was tired.
“Leicester played really good first half, after that they should have scored.
“It’s just a personal thing, I have no problem with him, but when I see him it’s… and now I saw him again last weekend,” he added.
