Despite the club’s impressive second-place finish with 89 points, their second-best tally ever in the Premier League, one evening stood out for the wrong reasons for this player.

It happened during the 4-3 win over Luton in December when Declan Rice conjured a 97th-minute winner to send the Gunners five points clear at the top of the league.

That night, he struggled as Elijah Adebayo outjumped him to head in a corner, and he let a Ross Barkley shot slip underneath him.

These errors led to Arsenal surrendering a 2-1 advantage and suddenly finding themselves 3-2 down.

David Raya, on loan from Brentford, is expected to have his purchase clause triggered by Arsenal.
