According to reports, Arsenal now appear to be clear favourites to sign one of the most in-form strikers in Europe.
Numerous teams, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Italian sides, are vying for the services of RB Leipzig striker Bemjamin Sesko.
Benjamin Sesko prefers to join Arsenal
However, the Gunners currently seem to be in the lead for the £45 million striker, as the Slovenian international prefers a move to the Emirates after being embroiled in a transfer saga, as per The Sun.
Mikel Arteta is interested in a young striker who can grow and partner with Kai Havertz, who was a revelation for the Gunners in the just-concluded season.
Sesko, who turns 21 on Friday, would be a good fit, and his agent, Elvis Basanovic, has attended Arsenal games this season.
The 21-year-old striker is a member of the Slovenian Euro team, which will play England in the group stages of this summer’s competition in Germany. He is 6 feet, 5 inches tall and has a strong goal-scoring record. The Gunners have been monitoring and scouting him all season, although he is not the only name on their shortlist.
