Jose Mourinho’s newly announced managerial deal with Turkish side Fenerbache has sparked conversations on social media as fans troll him for a statement he made in 2014.
Jose Mourinho agrees deal with Fernabache
Sports Buddy recently reported that Mourinho has reached an agreement with Turkish side Fenerbahce on a two-year deal.
BREAKING: Super Eagles star gets Jose Mourinho as new manager
The announcement came as a surprise, as football fans never saw the deal coming. Many believe Mourinho is an elite manager, and Fenerbache seems a little below standard for the former Chelsea boss.
It is even more surprising to some fans because of a statement he made in 2014, when he aimed a dig at former Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini.
‘’If they [Real Madrid] get rid of me, I won’t be going to coach Málaga. I will go to a big club in the Premier League or Serie A,” he said, as per Metro.
Fans mock Jose Mourinho

Fans have taken to social media to mock Jose Mourinho, with many believing he has declined and no longer has what it takes to attract big deals anymore.
One fan said, “He’s finished, he needs to let it go. From Spurs, to Roma to Fenerbache, a once supposed elite coach now overseeing mid clubs, what a fall!”
Another said, ”I like him. But this is lights out. No major club since 2018. Never gets in the conversation for the high profile jobs, even when he is out of a job. Easily one of the greatest ever. However, it does appear he is not considered elite anymore. Tottenham, to Roma to Fernabache is too long a run to see it as anything other than his level now”.
A third who referenced his 2014 statement said, ”If they [Real Madrid] get rid of me, I won’t be going to coach Málaga. I will go to a big club in the Premier League or Serie A,” ‘This was Mou’s statement some years ago, trying to mock Pellegrini.. I guess Fenerbache is on the same level with madrid.. Kamar is that you?”
