According to reports, Manchester United are in search of Erik Ten Hag’s replacement and have contacted Spanish manager Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi was recently fired by Barcelona last week after a tumultuous few months in charge, as previously reported by Sports Buddy.
The 44-year-old manager had first announced his departure in January before Barcelona persuaded him to stay at the club in April
However, he was fired prior to their season-ending match against Sevilla, with German Hansi Flick declared as his successor.
Xavi, who is now without a club, has previously been contacted by both AC Milan and the South Korean national squad.

Manchester United have also made an “informal” move for the former Spanish midfielder amid uncertainty surrounding Erik ten Hag’s future at the club, according to AS.
Xavi. however, would want to take a year off from managing, before searching for a new role in 2025.
In his 142 games in command of Barcelona, he won 89 of them, and in the 2022–2023 season, his team won both the Spanish Super Cup and La Liga.
He subsequently led them to the Champions League quarterfinals and to second place in the league this season, behind Real Madrid.
