According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo has reached out to two of his former teammates in an attempt to persuade them to join him at Al-Nassr.
Despite enjoying the comforts of off-field life in the Middle East, the attacker has been unable to win a major trophy since joining the Saudi Pro League eighteen months ago.
Since his arrival, his team has finished in second place in the league twice, most recently losing to Al-Hilal by a whopping 14 points in the 2023–24 season.

Cristiano Ronaldo contacts ex-teammates

Cristiano Ronaldo, in an effort to strengthen his side, has spoken with two players he played with at Real Madrid personally, according to reports from The Daily Mail.
According to the newspaper, Casemiro, who played for Real Madrid from 2013 to 2022, has discussed the prospect of joining Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.
It is said that Ronaldo, who has a lot of influence over the decision-making process at Al-Nassr, thinks the Brazilian will give his team the consistency they need to catch up to Al-Hilal, who finished the 2023–24 season undefeated.
The 32-year-old, who was left out of Brazil’s Copa America team, may leave United this summer after a challenging campaign at Old Trafford, and Saudi Arabia seems to be his only viable option given his quick slide in form, which suggests a reunion with Ronaldo may occur.

Elsewhere, Ronaldo is rumoured to have attempted to persuade Real Madrid’s current captain, Nacho, to join him in Al-Nassr. The 34-year-old has been with the club since his academy days but is currently searching for a new team after what appeared to be a heartfelt farewell following Madrid’s Champions League win against Dortmund.
It’s probable that the Spaniard, nearing the twilight of his career, would return to the Middle East for one last payday, hoping to win more trophies with Ronaldo.
