Mourinho Eyes Lukaku Reunion at Fenerbahce
Jose Mourinho is reportedly eager to sign Romelu Lukaku once again, this time for Turkish club Fenerbahce according to reports. Just a day after appearing at the Champions League final, Mourinho was in Istanbul for his official unveiling, where he was warmly greeted by thousands of enthusiastic fans. The former manager of Manchester United, Tottenham, and Real Madrid has committed to a two-year contract with Fenerbahce, aiming to secure their first league title since 2014.

Presidential Election’s Impact on Transfers

The club’s transfer strategy may hinge on the results of the upcoming presidential election. Aziz Yildirim, who led the club for 20 years until 2018, is challenging the current president, Ali Koc. Yildirim has already discussed potential transfer targets with Jose Mourinho, mentioning Lukaku, Paulo Dybala, and Anderson Talisca. He hinted at further targets, promising more details if elected.
Lukaku’s Future and Potential Signings

Lukaku, who played under Mourinho at Chelsea, Manchester United, and most recently on loan at Roma, scored 21 goals and provided four assists in 47 appearances last season. With two years remaining on his Chelsea contract, the Belgian striker is not keen on returning to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea has reduced his asking price to around £20 million, making him an attainable target for Fenerbahce, although Napoli, possibly under incoming manager Antonio Conte, also shows interest. Mourinho, who has been without a managerial role since leaving Roma in January, aims to bring his experience and winning mentality to Fenerbahce, bolstered by potential signings like Dybala and Talisca.
