Kevin De Bruyne Not Ruling Out Saudi Arabia Move
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has declared he is “not ruling anything out” as he contemplates his future. And he has been lured by the “incredible” Saudi Pro League contracts according to BBC.com.
De Bruyne has had future talks with wife Michele and their three children. And his eldest son has asked how long he will stay at City. “An exotic adventure is fine for Michele. These are also discussions that we are more and more having. As a family,” said De Bruyne. “I still have one year of contract. So I have to think about what can happen.
The 32-year-old says taking part in Saudi Arabia for two years would get him the “incredible amount of money”. He is considering options. The possible positives of a Saudi Pro League move. “At my age you have to not rule anything out. You talk about unbelievable amounts. In what may be end of my career, sometimes you have to think about that.”
De Bruyne’s Toughest Season
Kelvin missed almost five months of last season with injury. He featured just 26 times in all competitions. City were crowned champions for a fourth league title in a row. Despite that he remains a top player for both City and Belgium. They are building towards Euro 2024
De Bruyne has won six Premier League titles since he signed for City in 2015. He won the Champions League. He has been pivotal to team’s success. His possible exit would be a huge loss for the club. But the Saudi Pro League idea and the incredible financial rewards on offer could be too good an opportunity to turn down. Time will reveal what the future has in stored for Kevin.
