The newly revealed Golden Boy Award Benchmark Index saw Barcelona and Manchester United youngsters dominate the top ten rankings.
Both teams have two players each among the top-ranked players, with Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi making the cut, while Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho were also included in the top 10.
The winner of the award will be following in Jude Bellingham’s footsteps, who became the third English winner of the trophy in 2023, after Raheem Sterling and Wayne Rooney.

Lamine Yamal sits at the top of the list, followed by Benfica’s Joao Nevez, while Garnacho is the highest-ranked Premier League player on the list at third.
Behind Garnacho in third are Warren Zaire-Emery, Lewis, fellow United teammate Kobbie Mainoo, Girona’s Savio, Barcelona’s Pau Cubarsi, Man United target Leny Yoro, and Aleksandar Pavlovic of Bayern Munich rounding out the top 10.

A few spots out of the top 10 is England’s new revelation, Adam Wharton, who is ranked 14th.
”The rankings are based on performances in the biggest games.
”We have seen both Mainoo and Wharton, very impressive and potentially in England’s squad for the Euros. Maybe they can do what Bellingham did last year,” said, Massimo Franchi, who is the founder of the Goldne boy award, as per The Sun.
