Tom Heaton’s Career Journey
Tom Heaton began his career in the Manchester United academy but struggled to secure a spot in the first team. He spent time on loan with various clubs, including Swindon Town, Royal Antwerp, Cardiff City, Queens Park Rangers, Rochdale, and Wycombe Wanderers. After being released by Manchester United in July 2010, he joined Cardiff permanently.
Heaton later signed a one-year deal with Bristol City, but declined a second year to move to Burnley in 2013. He spent six years at Burnley before joining Aston Villa in 2019, and returned to Manchester United in July 2021.
