Bayelsaa United matchday thirty-seven win over Shooting Stars portrayed the NPFL and its typical drama. With the Restoration boys playing a match that felt like a fight for their lives against Shooting Stars. In a footage posted on X, two people were observed to have entered the playing arena at a time the match was still on and were singing what could easily be termed as “juju chants” having been down 1-0 to Shooting Stars who were ahead courtesy of the goal by No. 7 Christian Pyagbara.
Some Fans were curious those chants somehow worked as the Bayelsa based club won dramatically in the second half courtesy of a Bassey John Brace.
The NPFL in it's dramatic nature didn't fail to deliver in match day 37 as Bayelsa United in a bit to escape the clawing hands of relegation, two individuals were spotted walking across the pitch engaging in what looked like juju chants while 1-0 down.

Bayelsa United’s Late Comeback
This made the match interesting in the 75th minute when Bayelsa United was able to make a comeback by scoring a goal, the goal unknown, it was scored by forward Bassey John. We were able to see an exciting climax in the stoppage time where Bassey John scored the winning goal in the 91st minute’ giving victory to Bayelsa United with two goals to one.
Relegation Battle Intensifies
This crucial win places Bayelsa United in 15th with 47 points, just one point ahead of Akwa United and Sporting Lagos in 16th and 17th respectively, Sporting Lagos are in the relegation zone along with Doma United, Heartland, and Gombe United. Bayelsa United will face 9th place Bendel in their final game, hoping for a positive result to ensure their stay in the NPFL next season. Meanwhile, Enugu Rangers have already secured the title with a game to spare.
