Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has reached yet another milestone following his assists in Saturday’s game, as Roberto Martinez’s men cruised to a 3-0 victory over Turkey.
With the assist, Ronaldo has now climbed to the top of the competition’s chart for all-time highest assist providers.
With Selecao leading Turkey 2-0, the 39-year-old attacker had the opportunity to score, but he selflessly opted to play a square pass to the charging Bruno Fernandes to give his team a 3-0 lead.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s impressive record

Ronaldo became the first player to provide seven assists since records began in 1986 when he assisted Bruno Fernandes’ goal in the European Championships.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star, who has participated in six different Euro editions now has the most goals provided in the competition’s history.
Ronaldo does not only hold the record for most assists but also for goals. He has 14 goals in the Euro Finals, nine more than Michel Platini, who is in second place, according to OptaJoe on X.

In addition, Ronaldo holds the record for both most tournament appearances (6) and games played (27), making him the second-oldest outfield player to have appeared in the finals, only surpassed by teammate Pepe.
Ronaldo will be looking to duplicate his Euro 2016 triumph as Portugal’s captain, since this may be his last tournament appearance for his nation.
