Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has turned down an opportunity to move to Brighton & Hove Albion though; the first bid from Chelsea has arrived, as reported by The Athletic.
Brighton had nearly signed Dewsbury-Hall; they even fixed a medical after coming to an arrangement that involved payment in cash as well as an exchange that included Jakub Moder for Leicester City.
Of course, Dewsbury-Hall has opted against moving to the south coast, which means that his further career will take place either in Leicester or Chelsea.
Interest On Chelsea By The New Manager
The new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is a massive fan and would like Dewsbury-Hall to join the Stamford Bridge team.
Indeed, this lure from Chelsea cannot be doubted, especially bearing in mind that Maresca replaced Mauricio Pochettino as the club’s manager.
Maresca and Dewsbury-Hall are former associates from their time spent at Leicester City; the Italian shaped the talented midfielder on the field.
Under Maresca’s reign for the nine months at Leicester, Dewsbury-Hall began to realise his true potential and absolutely demolished the Championship.
These efforts were critical in Leicester City championship promotion to the English premier league and the midfielder alone had a 26 goals contributions.
Maresca’s High Praise
Maresca also started cultivating own young talents, and Dewsbury-Hall, a l academy product, emerged as the key player in the team’s growth period.
The new Chelsea manager has also previously commended Dewsbury-Hall and even pointed out the drastic improvement of the player in the season 2023/24.
In November 2023, Maresca commented on Dewsbury-Hall’s progress: Kiernan is probably the player that since we have started I think has developed most than every other player. Now he has that calmness that that type of player requires most specially in the most crucial moment of a game. “
The midfielder was deemed to have gone from an overbearing responsibility because he was part of the academy, as well as the pressure after Leicester got relegated, to a composed one.
“In the beginning, he was tense due to responsibility since he is from the academy and other things after relegation etc. After the fMirst international break, he became calm, and if one is a fan of the game, it is peaceful to watch Kiernan and his composed demeanor.”

Since Chelsea is now making a bid and this bid is formal, the choice is with Leicester City. Whether or not Dewsbury-Hall remains with the Leicester City team, or transfers to the Chelsea team where Maresca is, however, is yet to be seen.
