Vinicius Junior was heavily accused of underperforming in Brazil’s Copa America match against Costa Rica that ended 0-0. However, the 23-year-old had to shut his critics on the social networks with great performance on Saturday morning.
Stellar Performance Against Paraguay
In Brazil’s victory over Paraguay 4-1, the young star, Vinicius was instrumental in the game as he scored two goals to cap up the performance as well as winning the Man of the Match award.
The Real Madrid winger was a nemesis on the left flank, as he continued from where he stopped for Real Madrid Last season leaving the Paraguayan defenders for dead.

Controversial Showboating
Still, it was not so friendly when some of Vinicius ‘ brilliants skills were an instance of showboating before the Paraguayans. Their manager, Daniel Garnero, urged referees to answer the Brazilian’s antics.

“He has a way of playing that is obviously not very comfortable for opponents to accept, but that’s what the referee is for.’’ Worryingly, the referee as to put those limits on him.
Real Madrid will be glad to see Vinicius in this high level of Copa America. If he is able to sustain this shape then he should be a considered as a contender for the Ballon d’Or.
