The Swiss and the 51 year-old coach of the Central African Republic national football team sees the Super Eagles of Nigeria as a team with high potential to become a top team despite the team’s recent poor performances Sportsbuddy.ng reports
In an interview with Brila FM, Savoy affirmed his readiness to join the super eagles if called upon.

Savoy argued that maybe Nigeria’s problems are rooted in the hiring of foreign coaches who are oblivious of the continent’s football. You may still be taking expatriate coaches that may not understand Africa and probably are not good for your team,”
‘I can assure you if I take this team with my technical team we will be doing very good and may be again be one of the best teams in Africa.
Commitment to Current Role
Although Savoy said he is confident that he could do better for Nigeria’s team, he reiterated his full allegiance to the Central African Republic.
‘I can’t apply when I am under contract with another national team, it’s not fair but in football normally when you want somebody and you are sure that this guy or the technical staff is the better one for your team, you can just make a call and then we can talk.’
TheFormer Super Eagles coach Finidi George who only resigned from his position after a month of his appointment leaving Savoy a loophole that he cannot chase because of contractual restrain.
However, his readiness to talk about it should he be invited means he is probably interested in leading Nigeria in the future.
