Mikel Obi recently had some things to say about Sunday Oliseh on his podcast and the former Super Eagles coach was not pleased Sportsbuddy.ng reports.
Oliseh was appointed as the Super Eagles coach in July 2015 and his tenure lasted for eight months before he was sacked, a period that was characterised by many controversies.
Controversial Tenure
At the start of Oliseh’s tenure, star player Vincent Enyeama retired from the Eagles after a disagreement with him. There were also rumours that many players did not like to have Sunday Oliseh as their coach.
More recently, Mikel, a senior player at that time, gave his view on Sunday Oliseh’s coaching ability, stating the latter is a “great person,” but that he “knew nothing about coaching.

Sunday Oliseh’s Reply
”In a recent interview, Oliseh replied saying he has no problem with Mikel but rather the player needs help saying he should stop lying.
He then enumerated his achievements stating that he won the best coach in the Jupiler League voted by players and coaches and led Fortuna Düsseldorf to the league.
This is what Oliseh was captured by Elegbete TV saying: ‘I don’t need to justify myself being a good coach or anything to the kid. I call him (Mikel) a kid because my son is 27 years old. ’He stated that it would be ‘demeaning’ to engage in a public spat with Mikel, but volunteered to assist him, saying, “You cannot make the things you could not make on the football pitch, make them off the football pitch using your voice on a podcast.
”Oliseh’s strong response shows that there is animosity between the two former football stars and other problems affecting their relationship.
