Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman is a primary target for Saudi Arabian clubside Al Ittihad who are ready to sign the Atalanta winger for a deal that would make him the highest-paid Nigerian football player, surpassing Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
🚨💰 #AlIttihad increased the offer for #Lookman and sent a new proposal set at $15m/season: the 🇳🇬 player gave his informal approval. 🟡⚫
🗣️ Now it's up to clubs: #Atalanta are asking for more than the ~$35m bid received for the striker. Open talks with the 🇸🇦 team. 🐓⚽ https://t.co/0vzYsEFXMv pic.twitter.com/Qty3eLqLIM

Super Eagles star’s potential contract with Al Ittihad

Transfer specialist Rudy Galetti claims that Lookman has reached a verbal agreement with Al Ittihad, after their second offer.
Galetti reported that Lookman is being offered a salary of $15 million (about €13.89 million) per season, a figure which would surpass Osimhen’s current Napoli contract of €12.82 million.
Lookman who currently earns €2.3 million per year with Atalanta will get a massive salary upgrade should the deal go through.
However, Al Ittihad, still needs to reach an agreement with Atalanta who value the Super Eagles winger to be worth €70 million, according to previous reports from Sports Buddy.
The Saudi Pro League side have tendered an initial offer of $35 million which is far lesser than Atalanta’s valuation of the 26-year-old.
Lookman’s stock has increased significantly following an incredible 2023–2024 season for Atalanta and Nigeria.

The former Fulham attacker recorded 20 goals and nine assists for both club and country, including a historic hattrick in the UEFA Europa League to help Atalanta clinch their first ever European title.
