London-born Nigerian winger Chinonso Chibueze has signed for Stoke City Sportsbuddy.ng reports.
Born in 2006, the player joined Chelsea at the U10 level before steadily progressing through the youth system and making his debut in the U18 Premier League in his last year as a schoolboy.
UK Born Nigerian Professional Contract with Stoke City
Chibueze has been taken by Stoke City according to an official announcement on Chelsea’s website and he will be in their development team during the next season.
Depending on his team tactical setup, he could be used as Right Winger, Left Winger, or Centre Forward.
The interest shown by other clubs in Chibueze’s services and Stoke City’s ability to secure his signing is a sign of the good prospects that exist for the player.
Impressive Youth Career
Last season, Chibueze played for the Chelsea team in the U18 Premier League, the U18 Premier League Cup, and the Premier League Cup.
The young Nigerian featured 23 times in the U18 Premier League, including scoring two goals in the 9-1 win against West Brom in December 2023.
Being an overt and direct striker who prefers right-wing position he had always been a prolific goal scorer throughout his schoolboy days at Chelsea FC.
Looking Ahead
As a result, next season Chibueze hopes to emulate his elder brother Kelechi Chibueze and make his debut in the Premier League 2.
After joining the senior team on a professional contract in early 2023 with Chelsea, he moves to Stoke City to take his career to the next level.
