Despite Kylian Mbappe and company qualifying for the Euro 2024 semifinals, L’Equipe gave the France squad some extremely harsh evaluations.
After 120 minutes of play and no goal, Les Bleus advanced over Portugal in a boring quarterfinal match that required penalties to decide.
The two-time winners advanced to the round of four thanks to a miss by Joao Felix, which left players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe inconsolable on the field when their elimination was confirmed.
L’Equipe’s ratings of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Bruno Fernandes

After the game, French publication L’Equipe evaluated all players’ performances, slamming Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, and Manchester United captain with ridiculously low ratings.

Cristiano Ronaldo was given a 3/10 rating by L’Equipe, as the French publication did not shy away from highlighting the 39-year-old’s poor displays throughout the Euros, which saw him fail to record a goal for the first time in his appearances at major tournaments.
Meanwhile, Mbappe, who was replaced halfway through extra time, struggled the entire match and has only scored once in the competition—a penalty kick against Poland during the group stage.

The 25-year-old’s performances at the Euros have drawn criticism, with his most recent outing against Portugal drawing a 2/10 rating from L’Equipe.
Manchester united captain Bruno Fernandes was also handed a ridiculous 2/10 by L’Equipe, making him one of the lowest rated players for the day, alongside Mbappe.
