Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has sent the internet into frenzy with his cryptic message on his Instagram story after his impressive display against Switzerland in the quarterfinals.
Saka, who had been a subject of criticism for his performances in the tournament, rose up to the occasion to score an 80th minute equalizer for England after the Three Lions had gone behind from Breel Embolo’s tap-in goal in the 75th minute goal, taking the game into extra-time.
With the score line leveled after 120 minutes of football, both teams headed straight for penalty shootout.
England emerged winners (5-4), with all Three Lions spot-kick takers scoring, including Saka, finally overcoming the beast from the past, after losing from the spot in Euro 2020.
Gary Neville showers praise on Bukayo Saka
Bukayo Saka’s performance has garnered plaudits from fans and country legends, with former Manchester United right back Gary Neville expressing praising him for his impressive display.
“He looks calm, doesn’t he, he looks relaxed, to be fair,” responded Neville as Saka stepped up for his penalty. “Ooooh, that was beautiful that,” Neville said, clapping after the Arsenal winger scored his penalty, as quoted by HITC.
Neville, who alongside Arsenal legend Ian Wright, had previously suggested that Saka should be moved to the left-back position to accommodate Cole Palmer on the right flank, said he was happy with Saka’s performance.
“He was a huge threat. I thought he was going to play at left wing-back to bring that balance on that left-hand side.
”It didn’t happen. It was a surprise for us to see him on the right. He had that side to himself, he really did dominate and he was the biggest threat for England by a long way,” Neville continued.
”There you go, he is saying ‘stop talking, blah, blah and blah’. I think that’s to us,” the former right-back said, referring to Saka’s celebration.
Following England’s victory, Bukayo Saka took to his Instagram story to post a cryptic message.

”That shot is for Ian Wright,” another wrote.
However, many are of the opinion that Saka’s post was not aimed at the Arsenal legend.
”he’s not clapping back against Ian Wright, he’s clapping backing against fans who are critical of the England team performances,” another fan with a different point of view commented.
