The excited looking Super Falcons forward Jennifer Echegini has revealed that she had joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) from her former club Juventus Sportsbuddy.ng reports.
Echegini sealed her future with PSG after signing a three-year deal that will see her remain with the French club until June 2027.
Another Landmark In Her Career
The Ligue 1 side formally confirmed the transfer of the Nigerian forward from Juventus on their official website.
According to Echegini, the transfer could be described as the highlight of her career.
“It is indeed a great day in my life, perhaps the greatest day ever in my career as a footballer to sign for Paris Saint-Germain a club that has a global reputation for its ambition and achievements”.
Impressive Career Journey
Jennifer was born in Nijmegen, Netherlands and she started playing football in England, in the youth system of Millwall Lionesses FC and Arsenal FC. She started playing for the University of Mississippi in 2019 then moved to Florida State University in 2022.
Contribution at Juventus and Prospects with PSG
At the beginning of the year 2024, Jennifer joined Juventus where she was able to play 16 matches and score 10 goals and 1 assist.
The 23 year old Netherland born Nigerian contributions helped the Turin club promoted to the UEFA Women’s Champions League, clinching a spot in the Championship Team as well as the best prospect of that season.
PSG noticed her excellent performance at Juventus women and later signed her to join the the club for the next three years.
The 23 year old Nigerian has represented the Super Falcons in the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Australia and is due to represent Nigeria in the next Olympics in Paris.
