Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made a surprising return to the club, securing a new role just months after being replaced by Arne Slot.
Sports Buddy previously reported that Klopp bade farewell to the club after nine fruitful years in charge following a 2-0 victory over Wolves at Anfield.
After his last game, Klopp signed several unique items to help earn £40,000 for the LFC foundation.
Jurgen Klopp’s new role in Liverpool
The 57-year-old will continue his ties with the city since he has been appointed an honorary ambassador for the official charity of the club, the LFC Foundation.
”The LFC Foundation does an incredible job in the community, both in the Liverpool City Region and beyond, Jurgen Klopp said, per Daily Mail.
”I am really proud to continue my work with them and be named the first ever LFC Foundation honorary ambassador.
”I look forward to seeing what we can do with that now that I have more time on my hands,” he added.
The news of Klopp’s appointment comes hours after he turned down US Soccer’s offer to take over as head coach of the men’s national team.
