PATRICE EVRA: Manchester United legend hits back after being handed 12 months jail sentence, says ‘I enjoyed myself in prison’

In response to news making the rounds that he was given a suspended prison sentence for leaving for family abandonment, Patrice Evra took to social media to share an odd video of himself in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs.

Sports Buddy previously reported that the Nanterre Prosecutor’s Office handed Evra a 12-month prison sentence with probation suspension and provisional execution (which is already subject to a number of requirements stipulated by the judge), for unpaid dues in alimony.

Shortly after the sentence, Evra’s attorney, Jerome Bouriscan, was quick to assert that “the facts are disputed” by his client, who is certain that no unpaid debts exist.

“Mr Patrice Evra filed an appeal knowing that he had provided his wife with a flat, a house with a swimming pool in the south of France and had lent her almost 2 million euros for her daily life. A sum she refuses to pay back,” Bouriscan said, as previously quoted by Sports Buddy.

After the news broke, Evra took to social media, seemingly mocking the situation, dancing around a caged basketball court while wearing handcuffs.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), the former France captain was pictured in handcuffs, wearing an orange jumpsuit, with an afro wig on.

”Let me shutdown this rubbish news. Look how much I enjoyed myself in prison,” the post was captioned.
