Marc Cucurella has communicated with his Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer during Euro 2024 and wishes Palmer remains on the bench for the Spain vs England final.
The 25-year-old left-back endured a difficult season at Chelsea but has been a mainstay for Spain, featuring in all but one of their matches en-route to the final.
Spain’s Strong Run
Spain has been the most dominant team in the tournament and consequently will go into the final as the favourites.
Cucurella, who should start, may come up against Palmer, who has mainly been an option for England but came off the bench to give the decisive pass in the semi-final.
Inside Information and Booing Incident
Cucurella said that he spoke to Palmer more than a week ago according to Mundo Deportivo and joked: “For me, it’s much better if he doesn’t play and stays on the bench. ”
Speaking about inside information that Spain’s coach might try to get from Palmer, Cucurella said that Rodri knows more about English football and if needed, they could provide different opinions.
In a recent report from Sportsbuddy, Spain could be looking for a revenge against England after Cole Palmer’s deflected freekick in the last Under 21 Euro Final made the british boys victorious over the Spaniard.
Nevertheless, after an outstanding performance at the Euros, Cucurella was even subjected to booing during the semi-final match against France.

It was revealed that it involved Germans’ passionate response to a handball incident that was not penalized in the quarter-final.
Regarding the booing, Cucurella noted, “And to spend the money to be in the semi-finals of the European Championship and then to boo… they could have given the ticket to someone who would have enjoyed the match. ”
