Following a shocking twist in the latest Ballon d’Or 2024 power rankings, with an unexpected player emerging as favourite to win, former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has named the player he believes would take home the award.
Sports Buddy recently revealed that Manchester City midfielder Rodri has climbed to the top in rankings, displacing Real Madrid duo Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham, who were initial frontrunners, going into the Euro and Copa America tournaments.

Rodri had an impressive Euro 2024 campaign, helping Spain to a fourth European Championship, and their first since 2012.
The 28-year-old midfielder won the Player of the tournament award, and this has contributed immensely to his great rise in the Ballon d’Or power rankings.
Henderson picks Ballon d’Or 2024 winner

In a video circulating on the internet, Henderson was one of several Ajax players asked to predict this year’s Ballon d’Or winner.
The one-time Champions league winner, who moved to the Dutch club from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq in January initially picked Rodri, but subsequently asked to change his answer.

“I just want to change my answer…is that alright? Can I change?,” Henderson asked.
As soon as he got the go-ahead, he said, “Bellingham.”
