Arsenal have announced the signing or two Super Eagles prospects ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
Jeorge Bird, an Arsenal youth expert, has revealed that box-to-box midfielder Andre Annous and dynamic midfielder Ifeoluwa Ibrahim, are among the seven young players who were offered scholarship-based contracts by the club.
Reports state that both players have agreed a two-year scholarship contact with the club.
Annous and Ibrahim stats for Arsenal
During their final season as schoolboys in the U18 Premier League, Annous scored two goals in seven appearances, while Ibrahim had ten.
Annous first scored in the thrilling eight-goal match at the Elite Football Performance Center in April against Brighton & Hove. He then scored again against Norwich City.
The talented midfielder trained with Arsenal’s first squad in March prior to their Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.
Similar to Annous, Ibrahim debuted for the U18 team in May, starting on the bench against Southampton and participating in the London derbies against Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, respectively.
Meanwhile, Sports Buddy previously reported that Arsenal confirmed the signing of two Super Eagles-eligible stars, ahead of next season’s title charge.
