Some of the fans also sang chants during the match including, ‘They are French internationals but their mother is from Angola. Their father is from Cameroon while their mother is Nigerian but their passport is French. ’
Cole Calls For Lionel Messi Accountability
Cole, a former Chelsea striker, has said that Lionel Messi should come out and denounce his teammates. Cole insisted, “Messi is the main man there, the captain, and he should step forward and address this kind of conduct. ”
Official Reactions and Consequences
The France Football Federation intends to complain to FIFA, which is currently looking into the matter.
Chelsea has taken action against Enzo Fernandez, who shared the chanting on Instagram and has since then issued an apology.
While Fernandez was singled out, he was not the only Argentina international participating in the chant.
