Brazilian forward Adriana Leal De Silva has explained how the South American women’s team would defeat the super falcons of Nigeria in their forthcoming match.
The Super Falcons team is scheduled to play their first match of the group stage of the 2024 Summer Olympics against Brazil in three days.
Adriana Leal De Silva’s Strategy For Nigeria
Former Corinthians player Adriana highlights that the major factor lies in the management of small things. “A detail from a set piece, for instance, whether it is to score a goal or to deny the opponents the chance to score a goal”,
Significance of the First Encounter
This has placed Brazil in a very difficult group which is complemented with the current FIFA Women World cup champions Spain and the never-dying Japan which were the 2012 Olympic silver medalists.
However, Adriana does recognize the might of 11-time Women’s Africa Cup of Nations champions Nigeria and the importance of the first encounter.
“This first game is important, this first game is always like this… we must have a lot of concentration in this first game and try to do it step by step,” she said.
On the other hand, the Super Falcons are ranked low in their group and intend to go higher than the great teams they are likely to meet in the coming days.
