Ligue 1 side AS Monaco confirmed the capture of Lagos born seventeen years old prodigy George Ilenikhena who had a splendid season at Royale Antwerp.
The forward who is eligible for the Super Eagles joined the Belgian Pro League side from Amiens SC in the summer transfer window of the 2023-2024 season for a transfer fee of about €6 million.
Breakout Season and Move to AS Monaco
The 2023-2024 season was a breakthrough for Ilenikhena, who scored 14 goals in 50 matches for Antwerp in all competitions.
This performance made Monaco realize him and they signed him for €20 million subject to a medicals according to Fabrizo Romano. That will bring the Nigerian-French forward back to France from the Bosuilstadion

Originally hailing from Lagos Nigeria, Ilenikhena migrated to France with his family at a young age and has been scaling the heights of European football.
