UEFA have extended their ruthless disciplinary rod to seven countries that participated in the just-concluded Euro 2024 tournament, according to BBC.
The competition, which was nothing but chaos, saw games marred by incidents of racism and offensive chanting.
To this effect, the European governing body for football has now announced bans and fines for seven countries due to discriminatory actions by their supporters.
UEFA’s ban on seven countries following Euro 2024

In a press release on Wednesday, the Control, Ethics, and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) of UEFA announced the allegations against the countries for incidents related to a total of 17 games.
Firstly, Croatia have been fined £41,978 and are not allowed to sell tickets to away fans for their upcoming UEFA competition encounter due to their supporters’ racist and discriminatory actions in all three of their Group B matches.
The Romanian FA have also been fined £33,583 and prohibited from selling tickets to away supporters for their next UEFA fixture. following similar instances in three of their games.

Additionally, Albania have been accused of acting in a racist and discriminatory manner during their games against Croatia and Spain in the group stage of Euro 2024. They were fined £25,183 and prohibited from selling tickets to their away fans for one UEFA match, with the suspension being in place for two years.
The Hungarian, Slovenian, and Serbian federations will all face similar punishments for the discriminatory and racist actions of their supporters.
