Manchester United Legends Dazzle In Charity Match
The friendly was held to raise funds for children’s cancer charity, Sophie’s Legacy.
The Portsmouth team included former EFL Trophy winner Brett Pitman and veteran goalkeeper Alan Knight.
Interestingly, the match involved players who had won the auction and had a chance to play with retired professional players.
The Manchester United team was made up of players from the previous season and some guest stars such as Colin Hendry and Lee Hughes.
While it was not a typical ‘Legends’ match, it was a goal bonanza and served a great cause for the fans.
