Liverpool have rejected an offer from PSV Eindhoven for Sepp van den Berg with the latter complaining of high demands by the Dutch side.
He has been at the club since 2019, but has only featured in four first-team games, all of which were in the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

He has had temporary spells with Preston, Schalke, and most recently at Mainz where he featured in 33 Bundesliga games last season.
Seeking Regular Playtime
Van den Berg wants to play more frequently in the first team and is willing to leave Anfield for that, as the Merseyside club has a solid defensive line, including Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahim Konate, Jarell Quansah and Rhys Williams.
According to Fabrizio Romano PSV has offered Liverpool around €10m and Liverpool said no to that bid outright. It is said that the Reds set Van den Berg’s worth at £20m, a fee which the player considers inflated as previously reported by Sportsbuddy.

Van den Berg’s Reaction
“I know in today’s market (high prices) will happen,” Van den Berg said.
“For the price they want for me, hmmm… Liverpool may think it is right as I had a good season, if they want £20-£25 million that is a lot more. Hopefully we can find a way. Maybe I stay, maybe I go.”
“The first reaction from me is that it was quite high! It is also a compliment. But it makes it difficult, £20m is majorly high. ”
The outcome of the coming weeks is still open, and Van den Berg’s primary desire is to play more often in the first team, be it for Liverpool or another club.
