Former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang recently revealed that he has advised Eddie Nketiah to leave the Gunners and move to Olympic Marseille.
Aubameyang recently completed a move from Marseille to Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsia after an impressive season with the French side.
The Gabonese striker scored 30 goals last season, and now the nine-time league champions are looking for a suitable replacement to fill in for the void left by their top scorer from last season.
Marseille, who recently signed Mason Greenwood from Manchester United, is looking to further strengthen their attack, but the club has yet to agree a fee with Arsenal for the acquisition of 25-year-old striker Eddie Nketiah.
Aubameyang on convincing Nketiah to leave Arsenal for Marseille
Amid the negotiation tussle between both clubs, Aubameyang, while responding to a fan on X (formerly Twitter), confirmed that he has made efforts to convince Nketiah to make a switch to Marseille.
“Tell Nketiah to come to OM (Olympique Marseille),” the fan wrote.
“Already done,” Aubameyang replied.
Recent reports from Afcstuff on X claim that Nketiah is close to joining Marseille after the club made an improved offer to Arsenal worth £26 million, which includes £3 million in add-ons, while the player has been offered ‘huge wages’.
Meanwhile, in other news Sports Buddy revealed that, former Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka has aimed a dig at the club after his successful season with Bayer Leverkusen.
