However, these rumors were denied by Fabrizio Romano. Genoa, on the other hand, signed a former Spurs player Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta as reported by Sportsbuddy.
Serie A Move Back On The Cards

With the Genoa deal falling through, the future of David De Gea in Italy is not entirely bleak.
According to Italian reporter Nicolo Schira, De Gea has been offered to Fiorentina as a free agent.
The player wants a contract until 2026 with a €2.5 million per year plus bonuses. An Italian intermediary is in the process of arranging this switch after the negotiations with Genoa fell through last week.
De Gea’s Future Prospects

De Gea, set to be 34 in November, has been hinting at his next career move on social media.
Following interest of clubs in Italy, the USA, Saudi Arabia, and another club in England, it is yet to be seen where the experienced shot-stopper will join.
The interest from Fiorentina shows that De Gea will have the possibility to continue his career in one of the most attractive leagues in Europe.
