Arsenal are reportedly trying to capture Napoli forward Victor Osimhen by offering a higher transfer fee than Paris Saint-Germain.
The striker for the Super Eagles has been linked to numerous elite clubs in Europe, leading to a protracted transfer saga.
Osimhen was on the verge of finalizing his transfer to PSG; however, the French team were unable to reach an agreement with Napoli about the transfer cost.
Arsenal’s bid shake up Victor Osimhen transfer saga
Arsenal have now moved in to snatch up the 25-year-old striker, but they are only willing to offer him a reduced wage, according to Radio Radio.
Additionally, it’s said that Arsenal are offering Osimhen a bigger transfer fee than the Ligue 1 winners.
Napoli open to lower offers amid Osimhen transfer talks
The Nigerian international signed an improved contract with Napoli late last year, adding a €120–130 million release clause to his deal.
However, no team has been able to meet their initial demand, and now Napoli are open to discussing a cheaper offer.
Despite initial speculation that PSG were the front-runners to sign Osimhen, Arsenal’s latest approach has altered the dynamics of the transfer.
Napoli are eager to make money off of Osimhen’s deal in order to move forward with their aspirations to sign Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku.
