Manchester United still remain £10m adrift of Bayern Munich’s valuation of Matthijs De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui according to reports from Metro.
Erik ten Hag is still on the hunt for a new central defender after new £52million signing Leny Yoro suffered a broken foot that will see him sidelined for three months which was confirmed this week.
United have been in negotiations with Bayern for De Ligt but the German side want €50m for the Netherlands international player.
Transfer Negotiations
United have also discussed the personal terms with Mazraoui but are yet to reach a deal with Bayern Munich regarding the transfer fee.
West Ham agreed on a deal worth €15.5m (£12.7m) plus €4m (£3.4m) in add-ons for Mazraoui, but the 26-year-old rejected the move and is holding out for a switch to United.
With rumoured medicals booked for tuesday for the full back as reported by Sportsbuddy.
United’s joint bid this week was £51m, and Bayern knocked it down. Bayern are asking for £64m for De Ligt and Mazraoui combined.
The camp of De Ligt and Mazraoui, both advised by Rafaela Pimenta, was ‘perplexed’ over Bayern’s reaction to United’s bid.
The management of Bayern have also communicated to both players that they are not in Vincent Kompany’s plans for the next season.
Other Transfer News
On the other hand, Joshua Kimmich has expressed his willingness to continue at Bayern after his rumored transfer in the current summer window.
‘Well, in general, you can always speak to each other reasonably,’ Kimmich said, who has a year left on his contract.
“In general, I feel very comfortable here. All my children were born here we built here. Of course, last season was not very successful. Bayern Munich would not expect that, and I would not expect that myself. Now I am very hungry and full of energy for the new season. ”
