In May, one of his more unusual career decisions occurred when the 32-year-old utilized LinkedIn within search of a new club after being released from Spanish fifth-tier football club Malaga City.
Leveraging LinkedIn for Opportunities
Caulker provided his availability as a player-manager which he has done in the Spanish leagues.
His proactive approach proved fruitful and in July, he took to his LinkedIn to reveal that he had penned a deal with Turkish second division team, Ankara Keciorengucu.
This step contributes to his already vast exposure to Turkey after representing Alanyaspor, Fenerbahce, Gaziantep, and Fatih Karagumruk between the years 2019 and 2022.

Caulker appeared on talkSPORT with Paul Hawksbee and Charlie Baker and spoke about his journey to Ankara Keciorengucu.
He disclosed that the social platform was also used in arranging his 2023 loan deal with Championship club Wigan.
“It has in the past,” he said adding that Kolo Toure contacted him after seeing his update on LinkedIn.
Likewise, an old friend from Ankara wanted to give him a trial after he posted the picture.
