Lazio midfielder and Super Eagles prospect, Ayodele Fisayo Bashiru has encouraged fans of the Italian club to be patient with him as he finds his footing in the Italian Serie A.
The 23-year-old midfielder signed with Lazio on loan from Turkish club Hatayspor as reported by Sportsbuddy, with a possible permanent transfer at the end of the season.

He has since switched to the number seven jersey in anticipation of a new role under the Italian trainer, Marco Baroni.
Preferred Role and Adaptation
In a recent interview with the club, Bashiru shared insights into his preferred playing position and his ongoing adaptation to Italian football.
“Football in Italy is very physical and tactical which I think has posed me the greatest test. I prefer playing as a number 8 or as 10.”
“Though I had some challenges especially in the first few weeks I think I am gradually understating the coach.” he added.
Bashiru also stated that he is willing to give his best to contribute to the success of the club and to make the fans happy with the atmosphere at the club.
Journey and Aspirations

Bashiru was born in Germany to Nigerian parents and moved to England as a young child.
His football journey included his time at Manchester City where he received valuable training, and a stint in Turkish football, which added to his experience.
He also etched his name in the hearts of the Nigeria fans when he scored his first International goal for Nigeria in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier match against South Africa.
However, Bashiru agrees to remain patient as he struggles to hit good form and be successful for the Lazio team in the set season.
